Enacting a management charge for fiscal year (2019-2020)
The Board of Directors of the Sierra Valley Groundwater Management District DOES ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. A management charge for the fiscal year 2019-2020, shall be collected from all land within the District. The total management charge for the fiscal year 2019-2020, for the purpose of paying the costs of initiating, carrying on, and completing all of the powers, projects, and purposes for which the District is organized is fixed at a total of 30 cents per acre, per year, with a total minimum charge of $10.00 per year on all parcels or lots of forty (40) acres or less.
Section 2. The management charge shall be collected on the tax rolls of Sierra and Plumas Counties in the same manner, by the same persons, and at the same time as, together with and not separately from, County ad valorem property taxes.
Section 3. Penalties and interest shall accrue on the amount of an unpaid management charge at the same rates and shall be collected in the same manner as prescribed for the County ad valorem property taxes.
Section 4. The amount of an unpaid management charge, together with any penalty and interest thereon, shall constitute a lien on that land as of the same time and in the same manner as does the tax lien securing the County ad valorem property taxes.
The foregoing ordinance was duly passed and adopted by the Board of Directors of the Sierra Valley Groundwater Management District, State of California, at a meeting of said Board held on ______________ by the following vote:
